Since I began telling people that I was going on the World Race, one of my most asked questions has been “where are you going and what will you be doing”. This is a really good and reasonable question because why would you want to support someone if you don’t know all the information? In this blog post my hope is to answer these questions. All information that you are reading about is information that I found on the World Race Gap Year website. If you click on the “Outreach Route” and click on the pictures of the countries, you will find the information I am giving and more. I will link this at the end of the post.
The first country that my squad and I will be going to is Costa Rica. Here, we will be working with the ministry, YWAM. We will have the opportunity of doing many different things to help the community we will be staying in. We will get to do children’s ministry, tutoring, sports outreach, as well as manual labor to improve their community.
The second country we will be visiting is Romania. I have always wanted to go to some part of Europe and to be able to do this while serving is so much better than just a simple trip. In Romania, the ministry we will be working with is Hope Church. We will have the opportunity of meeting and building relationships with many different college students. We will also get to partner with local churches to minister to youth groups, be apart of worship, and share testimonies.
The third country is Eswatini, South Africa. Here, we will be staying in a small village and working with the Adventure’s in Missions Eswatini Base. In Eswatini we will be able to work with orphaned children and help the local staff provide them with many different things such as food, clean water, education, health care, and mentorship.
The final country we will be visiting is South Africa. We will work alongside the Global Leadership Academy. Here we will be able to be apart of youth and children’s ministries and work in a school system.
I only shared a little bit about what I read. There is so much more to share but that would make this post way too long. No matter what country we visit or what we do, they will each have a huge impact on our lives. To think that I have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus to people around the world of all ages is crazy. My squad and I have the opportunity to leave a major impact on people’s lives. How cool is that? Not only this, but we will be able to grow closer to God through the things we do, the people we meet, and the relationships we grow throughout our squad. It would be greatly appreciated if you took the time to pray for these things for myself but also for my squad. That we will be able to bring many people to God, closer to God, and also that we will grow closer to him ourselves. I would also appreciate it if you prayed about donating. I can’t do any of this without you guys, thank you so much for your prayers and support.
